Lila Creek, BaljiLila Creek (Balji, DillyBag) Acrylic on Canvas 76. 5 x 70 x 2cm This Balji (dillybag) work illustrates how we used them to hunt and gather fish, crabs, and turtles with tools like the Kulka (spear), woomera and boomerangs. I remember my dad using a spear to catch Ngawiya (fish) and crabs while my mum carried the balji to collect them. We would then take our catch home for mayi (meal). I love to paint every day and express my stories through my
