COX: Ancestors and Descendants of Jehu Cox. 1957Wayne D. Stout These are the ancestors and descendants of Jehu Cox and Sarah Pyle. He was grandson of Solomon Cox, born fourth child in the family that had resided in Tennessee and relocated multiple times, eventually to Kentucky and then westward to Utah in 1849. The Cox clan was originally Quakers. His life was a continuing crisis with loss and moving about. He converted to and became a champion of Mormonism in 1838. (394p., Illus, Index, 1957)
